KU is excited to be able to present its latest usage statistics for titles in the KU Pilot Collection.

Through the collective effort of libraries and publishers working together, download figures for the 28 books in the Pilot Collection have reached nearly 60,000 by the end of December 2015 across multiple platforms (e.g., OAPEN, HathiTrust, The Internet Archive and publishers’ own platforms).

Total number of downloads via OAPEN: 47,401

Mean average number of total downloads by book: 1,693

Number of countries downloading KU titles via OAPEN: 175*
*The country of origin for 1,209 downloads could not be identified

In addition, 5,526 downloads of KU titles have been made from the Internet Archive (up to 03/02/2016).

For the reporting period of 15 May 2014 to 30 June 2015, the total number of page views via HathiTrust was 8,877.
